Really really getting down to the nitty gritty of it here.  :)  Just about everything we did was DIY, and I'm really really proud of how it is all turning out.  :)  So here's my brag post about where I am.  Warning - Seriously graphics intense!

I hope this isn't too off topic but it does concern dying my crinoline...

It seems that my dress is going to necessitate a slip -- you know, with the crinoline and everything to make it poofier. :) I've been looking around DB and eBay to see if there are inexpensive slips that I can buy, but they all seem to start pretty high, at least to me ($25 for eBay, $45 for DB; I haven't found anything at AA). where can i find an affordable [around $20 or so] dyable crinoline? i got two packages of rit fushia powder dye and i want my crinny to be hot hot pink, successfully. people are saying to get the ones from ebay seller ANGEL'S BRIDAL SHOP but they are made of polyester. =/

Hello, so awhile back I remember hearing about someone dying their crinoline orange through the washing machine. My dress has an attached crinoline so the washing machine deal won't cut it.

My crinoline has been stored stuffed into a garbage bag in the closet for some 18-odd months. I have a formal event to go to on Saturday -- what's the best way to re-fluff and de-smush it? It's a pretty standard polyester/nylon, two layers of tulle. I thought about wetting it down and throwing it in the dryer, but didn't know if that would do any ( Read more... )

So, like a lot of other brides, I decided to dye my crinoline.  It was a toss up between colored shoes, or the dyed crinoline, but I couldn't find the perfect color shoe, so the crinoline won!
